Stacker Machine Inbound Process and Precautions

The stacker machine is the core of the automated warehouse conveyor system, and is an important lifting and transportation equipment. It shuttles back and forth on the guide rails between the aisles of the three-dimensional warehouse under computer technology operation, storing the goods located at the aisle entrance into the storage location, or transporting the goods in the storage location to the aisle entrance according to instructions, completing the inbound and outbound operations independently relying on mechanization and automation. Additionally, the stacker machine can also process entry and exit information in a timely manner, adapting to special operating environments such as darkness and low temperature.

The stacker machine is the core equipment of the entire automated warehouse system, which can transport goods from one place to another through manual operation, semi-automatic operation or fully automatic operation. It consists of a frame (upper and lower beams and pillars), a horizontal travel mechanism, a lifting mechanism, a loading platform, a cargo fork, safety protection devices and an electrical control system. So, do you know the steps of how the stacker machine places the goods?

Stacker machine placing steps

The main purpose of the stacker machine is to run in the aisle of the three-dimensional warehouse and store the goods located at the aisle entrance into the storage location, or transport the goods in the storage location to the aisle entrance. The following are the specific steps of the stacker machine during inbound operations:

Step one, turn on the stacker machine. The stacker machine operates normally in a continuous hit state. Before each operation, the stacker machine will perform a self-check, automatically check the last column, and check whether all positions and the four photoelectric switches on the loading platform are lit. If there are no abnormalities, it will enter the "idle" state, indicating that the self-check has passed and it can be connected to the upper computer for operation. The upper computer issues a online command, the network light of the stacker machine is on, indicating that the network is successful, and the stacker machine is controlled by the upper computer.

Step two, after the upper computer sends the inbound job address, the stacker machine starts to place the goods. When the goods unit is put in storage, it is transported to the storage platform by the conveyor system. The barcode identification system scans and recognizes the goods, reads the information carried by the barcode label, and transmits it to the central server. The control system judges whether to put goods into storage and coordinates of the storage location based on the information returned by the central server. When it is determined to put goods into storage, the execute system sends the inbound command with the coordinates of the storage location to the stacker machine via automatic addressing, and the stacker machine stores the goods in the designated storage location. After completing the inbound operation, the stacker machine returns the job completion information to the control system and waits to receive the next job command.

Step three, after the stacker machine completes the inbound operation, the control system simultaneously returns the job completion information to the central server database for inbound management.

Attention points when the stacker machine is placing goods

  • When the stacker machine is in the network state, people cannot walk in the aisle. In case of special circumstances, if it is necessary to walk in the aisle, you must walk on the left side. If you encounter protrusions, you can use your body or other objects to block the running infrared to make the stacker machine stop urgently.

  • When the stacker machine is operating, you must not stand under the storage location where goods are being picked up or placed to prevent the machine from accidentally pushing out goods.

  • The stacker machine can only be started in special maintenance and other situations. Otherwise, the machine cannot be in the network state for a long time.
